It may sound strange, but picking the proper task title/description/note may be also effective, since when you just pick some phrase, representing some definite result, you don't think about the way it can be achieved. But when you write it down as a small algorithm description you automatically think about implementation, and since it is done the day before you are going to complete it, magic happens, and you subconsciously find the best solution.
