Big goals

Solving some intermediate problems, always keeping in mind some big goals, they are related to, can cause procrastination. Perhaps this can be related to the fact, that the reward in this case is expected for achieving big goal in far future, and none is expected for solving small intermediate problem.

Tricking the brain in this case is treating this small task as the main one, which is to be completed, so that the reward could be obtained sooner.
